Senator Bob Ballinger of Berryville and 14 other state senators on Friday commended the governor and public health officials, and assured them that Arkansas citizens would take the precautions necessary for opening businesses again.
“It is now time for Arkansas to open back up,” they wrote.
“As small businesses close their doors, workers sign up for unemployment by the tens of thousands, and families burn through the last of their savings, we must approach this phase with the same urgency shown when working to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” they wrote.
Ballinger said that other senators may sign the letter.
